Why should you join us if you are already a member of another police group?

Many members of other police groups also belong to the FOP.  As a national organization, the FOP provides its members with a connection just about anywhere in the United States - a benefit for both active and retired officers. Within New York, you can connect with officers in more than 110 lodges throughout the state. Simply put, the FOP provides the “hello” wherever you travel in the USA.

Help us to help you

On the "strength in numbers" principle, we negotiate numerous special deals and financial incentives for our members with local and regional businesses. Members can also take advantage of similar offers available through the state and national organizations.

We also act as the voice of the police community locally, regionally, and nationally. Our influence is directly related to the size of our Lodge, and every member adds to our "clout."  As a member, you play a direct role in what we do and the positions we take on issues. We also strive to keep our members up-to-date on matters of concern to them - many of which are not covered adequately (or at all) by the general media.
