Why should you join us if you are already a member of another police group?
On the "strength in numbers" principle, we negotiate numerous special deals and financial incentives for our members with local and regional businesses. Members can also take advantage of similar offers available through the state and national organizations.
We also act as the voice of the police community locally, regionally, and nationally. Our influence is directly related to the size of our Lodge, and every member adds to our "clout." As a member, you play a direct role in what we do and the positions we take on issues. We also strive to keep our members up-to-date on matters of concern to them - many of which are not covered adequately (or at all) by the general media.
Accidental Death / Dismemberment Insurance (on or off the job) - Active and Associate members in good standing who have joined prior to age 63, and whose names are on file with the State Lodge, are eligible to receive a $10,000 benefit until the age of 70, reduced to $5,000 after age 70.
Survivors Aid Death Benefit - up to $750 to named beneficiary of an
active/retired law enforcement member with 5 years continuous FOP membership
until the age of 63, reduced to $250 after age 63.
