Dear Brothers and Sisters,

It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that I must inform you of the unexpected passing of an active Lodge member, retired NYPD P.O. Jimmy Finnegan of Monroe. Jimmy was a long time member of the Lodge, a good friend to many to many of us and a Bronx cop through and through. He was the Bronx Borough PBA delegate and retired from the BXTF. He leaves behind his wife Shanna and his two college- age children, Maddie and Jimmy.

O'Toole's Pub in Monroe is donating the proceeds from their monthly First Responders Appreciation Night, which will be held this Friday 04/26 4-8pm, to Jimmy's family. Please make an effort to turn out to support our fallen brother Jimmy's family in their time of need.

Funeral arrangements are pending at this and will be emailed to the members when the information becomes available.

Fraternally,

Mike McGinn

Welcome to the Jason Conklin Memorial Lodge 957 Website.
This site is dedicated to our brothers and sisters who made the ultimate sacrifice.

The central mission of our Lodge is to ensure that the fallen officers of the Orange County law enforcement community are never forgotten. To further this goal, our Lodge has erected and dedicated two memorial walls at the entrance of the County Courthouse that list the names of the 28 members of the Orange County law enforcement community that have died in the line of duty. We are also dedicated to honoring the families and loved ones of these fallen heroes for their sacrifice, dignity and courage. To honor and recognize these very special people, we hold the Orange County Law Enforcement Memorial Service every year on the first Friday in May to coincide with the start of National Police Week.  Our other main objectives are to promote fraternal, social and charitable events among the law enforcement community, and foster good relations between all members of law enforcement. We also advocate on the behalf of our members using the legislative and political process.

We also intend:

  • to support and defend the Constitution of the United States

  • to inculcate loyalty and allegiance to the United States of America

  • to promote and foster the enforcement of law and order

  • to improve the individual and collective proficiency of our members in the performance of their duties

  • to encourage fraternal, educational, charitable and social activities amongst law enforcement officers

  • to advocate and strive for uniform application of the civil service merit system for appointment and promotion

  • to support the improvement of the standard of living and working conditions of the law enforcement profession through every legal and ethical means available

  • to create and maintain tradition of esprit de corps insuring fidelity to duty under all conditions and circumstances

  • to cultivate a spirit of fraternalism and mutual helpfulness among our members and the people we serve

  • to increase the efficiency of the law enforcement profession and thus more firmly to establish the confidence of the public in the service dedicated to the protection of life and property.
